IMC Iintercom Review and Install
I have tested a number of Intercom units in the last year. IMC makes the best I have found! Unlike MotoComm and J&M, the IMC Intercom is a 12V unit that connects to your bike, no batteries needed, it can be tucked away in the fairing and wired up for the long haul. This system actually works as like its suppose to right out of the box. It comes with all the cables needed as well. The other systems we tested required additional items to be purchased.

The intercom is clear and quiet, for the first time I can actually understand what my wife says the first time, without asking her over and over. We also connected a Midland CB to talk to the others in our riding group, the CB function works great as well as the AM/FM. With my voice command cell phone I can call work, friends, wife etc, while tooling down the highway.

There is no and I repeat no problem with wind noise, the mic's used with the included headsets are top quailty, every other system we tested the headsets just suck. Not the IMC these guys have done it right!

The price is fair as well, around $200 for the MIT-100 model we are using. Need an Intercom System, We recommend the MIT-100 from IMC Electronics. Click their logo on our sponsor page!

Complaints

It would be cool if the passenger could hear the CB with this unit. When I talk to someone in the riding group, the passenger should be able to atleast hear the CB converation, to stop confusion between the driver and passenger. Everything else with the unit is top notch!

Installation

We decided to install the MIT-100 in the left side of the goldwing fairing. This gave us easy access through the upper storage tray or the access panel. First, we used a hole saw and cut out an half inch hole through the inner fairing, giving us access to the inside of the tank shelter ACCESS HOLE.

Once we had the access hole cut, we used the included velcro to attach the MIT-100 to the inner fairing panel, the ran our wires and cords through the access whole for power. Also, the headset cords are easy to router through as well, MOUNTING ONE MOUNTING TWO.

In order to run the passenger head set cord we had to remove the seat and fish the cord through under the seat mounts. Once you get the cords ran your ready to hook up power. The MIT-100 runs off of 12 volt, make sure you get power for the unit from a sorce that is off we the key is off. If not you will find your ride has a dead battery in no time.

WV Goldwings reccomends the MIT-100, as the best aftermarket intercom system we tested.
