We hopped on the goldwing and rode down to the Piggybacker warehouse to pick up our trailer. What a great ride a
little over 800 miles, it was a Dad and Jenny trip. We had a great time and got to spend alot of quality time together.
I must admit though the pool at our Hotel was a welcome site after being on the bike all day in 95 degee temps.
It was great to meet Tom and the crew are super people, very helpful, very nice folks all around, they make you feel like family, "really". Once we arrived at the warehouse everyone was very helpful in helping us get back on the road. Now, a little about the trailer, its awesome! If you need a trailer this is the one to buy, its lighter than any other trailer out there and cheaper! The chrome wheels really do look good, even though our trailer has the 8" wheels we have had no problems with the hubs over heating and we have pulled it just over 6500 miles. Yes you can spend hundreds of dollars on a trailer to match your bike but why? It comes only in black but for a few bucks you can get a local shop to paint it to match your bike and with the money you save over all the other trailers out there, you can take a vacation and tow it around this great country. WVGoldwings recommends the Piggybacker trailer, both for cost and for quality. Our changes While the factory trailer lights work well, they due put a strain on the charging system. We have made some changes to the piggybacker, the lights on our trialer was draining the charging system. We converted all the lights on our trialer to LED's, as well as added a few lights, watch for our pictures coming as soon as the weather breaks. March 7, 2008 We just heard from Tom at Piggybacker, and the new trailer comes with LED lights and a new chrome bumper! |
